During the School Calendar Year:
Tuesdays and Wednesdays: We offer elementary aged Neighborhood Bible Clubs from 4:00 to 5:30. You let us know which day of the week you are available and we will let you know the location of a club on that day. Please know that volunteer applications and background checks are required after you have check out a club in action.
Sunday, Monday & Tuesday Evenings: Our Special Visit Teams. Join a group of HOF volunteers that goes out into the streets to visit the children in their homes reminding them about club the next day and begin to build up relationships with the family members. Visits are normally done anytime between 5:00-7:30pm and take about 45 minutes to an hour. Teams of two-three are suggested. Join an existing team or make one of your own. Please know that volunteer applications and background checks will be required.
Thursdays: (Xodus-youth) Our middle and high school youth meet from 5:30-7:00pm at our facilities. Our youth are typically unchurched, at-risk youth who need someone to come stand in the gap with them. This time is spent hanging out, playing games while also digging into God’s Word to see what is relevant to these youth in how to live for God in a fallen world. Please know that volunteer applications and background checks are required.
Other times: We often need office help with preparing lesson supplies and crafts for the children’s Neighborhood Bible Clubs. If you have time during the weekday to help with this, please contact us to set up a time. Even just an hour can help us tremendously.
Summer Events: Although we do not have weekly Bible Clubs during the summer, we have lots of opportunities to connect with them during the summer. Events such as day camp, swim parties, neighborhood parades, week-long summer camps are just a few of the things we do with them. These events change each year and dates change also, so please contact us to see when and what we are doing for this summer.
